Hamaza and Ayesha sing a happy thank-you song with their family. At the breakfast table, out in the garden and cuddled up together at home, they remember Allah’s blessings and say “Alhamdulillah”. The word comes round again and again, so little ones can sing along.
The words in this song
Watch together Try together Remember together
1. Watch together
Sit side by side and sing the chorus with your child.
2. Try together
Play “Alhamdulillah For…!” for about two minutes.
3. Remember together
After your next meal, say “Alhamdulillah” together.

Try it together: Alhamdulillah For…!
- Sit together and say, “Let’s play Alhamdulillah For!”
- Take turns to name one blessing: something to eat, someone you love, or something you can see outside.
- After each one, say “Alhamdulillah!” together.
- Point to real things around you: a cup of water, a favourite toy, the sky through the window.
- Finish with a real moment: say it together after your next snack or drink.
Parent tip
Children copy what they hear. Say “Alhamdulillah” out loud after meals and whenever something good happens, and let them hear you. If they forget, gently say it together. Keep it warm and playful, without testing or pressure.
For parents: “Alhamdulillah” are the words that open Surah Al-Fatihah (1:2), the first chapter of the Qur’an. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) taught that Allah is pleased with a person who praises Him when they eat and drink (Sahih Muslim 2734). The song uses everyday blessings to help children remember to say it.
